Corriedale

Here is some beautiful 2ply sock yarn made from Yedda's fleece, She is a dark silver/black Corriedale. I bought her fleece from Joanna and Keith Gleason's Fine Woolies.
http://gfwsheep.com/shear.price.html This will be knit into kilt hose someday. I did buy the whole fleece so I can make a matching sweater. I hope I can get it finished this year...maybe I should set this as my goal for the year. we'll see...

Woolee Winder

I finished a lovely skein of sock yarn made out of 100% Merino. I wasn't sure if it would all fit onto the bobbin but weeeee... it did with a little more space left. I purchased a Woolee Winder for my spinning wheel. http://www.thewooleewinder.com/ I will never go back to the original flyer and bobbins. With the Woolee Winder you can do mindless spinning and never have to move your work back and forward on the flyer. It winds so fantasticly even, the only time you need to slow down or stop is to get more fiber. Because it winds on the bobbin so evenly you can get more fiber onto it. I was able to get 4.2oz. of plyed onto the regular bobbin and still have room for a little more. The only thing I want now is for the company to make the Woolee Winder Jumbo flyer/bobbin for my "Rose Wheel". If you want to get a closer view of the Woolee Winder Click on images to enlarge. These photos are very large and may take awhile to load for some.
OH almost forgot, If you look close, you will see a small piece of tiny hook velcro stuck to the right side of the flyer. This is for the fiber to stick to when I stop and want to go do something else. It works great and I have it on all my flyers. I purchased this very tiny velcro called E-Z Stitch for my scroll rods, fabric side. http://www.adp-usa.com/

Nov., Dec. Caps for a Cure

I finally got some caps finished and labeled to send off, eight in total. They will be finding homes starting at the Magruder Hospital Cancer Center in Port Clinton, Ohio. I made some cap labels/packaging just like the kind I use for my CSM socks. They seem to work very well and I enjoyed making them.
